"In Plain Sight" is a conspiracy thriller currently in production in the Kansas City metro area. The intention of this project is to serve as a proof-of-concept piece and pitching vehicle for an adapted feature screenplay of Aldous Huxley's famous 1932 dystopian novel "Brave New World".
plot summary
The short film follows a young pharmacologist who must face dangerous consequences of unravelling the dark truth behind a new drug. The film's plot will inform the audience and build dramatic tension towards the dystopian future present in "Brave New World" (1932).
Community impact goals
Involving dozens of local crew members and up to a hundred actors and actresses from in and around Kansas City, our primary reason for fundraising is to pay a livable wage to everyone working on the film.
Secondarily, if this project reaches its full potential and the aforementioned adapted screenplay is produced, the economic impact of bringing even a portion of the production here would be incredible for hundreds or possibly thousands of local artists, from actors to stunt professionals.
